This is a "tsifteteli," sometimes called "Greek bellydance". . . the lyrics are especially written to reflect and address and encourage the seductive dancing of the "bombshell". . . a wish-fulfilling song!
*aman: an expression which magnifies a feeling, such as "Oh my God!"
**nonsense words marking the rhythm of drums; I have used the Greek spelling "nt" for the hard "d" sound (as in the English "drum"): this sound and its spelling indicate the origin of the music in Asia Minor, as it is not occurring in the Greek language.
