Ἀπὸ τὴν ἀρτιότητα τοῦ ἑαυτοῦ της
Μακριὰ νὰ μένει ἀπὸ τὴν τύρβη
Καὶ τὶς μαλάξεις τῆς ἀνοίκειας γλώσσας
Μακριὰ κι ἀπὸ τὸ ξένο βλέμμα
Καὶ τὴν ἀφ᾽ ὑψηλοῦ προσπέραση
Ἡ ποίηση δὲν θέλει οὔτε τὸν κριτικὸ λόγο
Γιατὶ κι αὐτὸς γίνετ᾽ ἐνόχληση κάποια στιγμὴ
Ἡ ποίηση θέλει σιωπὴ
Τὴν ἀγαστὴ συμμόρφωση μὲ τὸν ρυθμό της
Τὴν προσηνῆ μελέτη καὶ τὴν προσμονὴ
Τὴν αἰσθητὴ προσχώρηση μὲς στὰ κενά της
Σὰν τὴν προσήλωση σ᾽ εὐλαβικὴ φωνὴ
Ὅταν ἀφουγκραζόμαστε τὴν προτροπή της
