Ο ορίζοντας δεν υπάρχει την ώρα που χάνονται οι προοπτικές,
παρά μόνον η άσπρη γραμμή του καραβιού
που πέρασε ανεπιστρεπτί.
Ήχος πλάγιος, συνεχής,
ισοκρατεί τις σκέψεις κάτω από τη σκεπή.
Ανάμεσα στέκομαι ουρανού και γης,
σ’ ένα άπλετο φως,
που σπάζει τις τροχιές του βλέμματος.
Βρεγμένα πόδια απλώνουν ρίζες στα υποδόρια στρώματα
της γης.
Δένδρο αιωνόβιο και σοφό!
