Ένας τεμπέλης δράκος
σε σκοτεινή σπηλιά
κοιμόταν όλη μέρα
σε περσικά χαλιά
Κι έβγαινε στην κοιλάδα
μονάχα για φαΐ
εξηνταπέντε βόδια
τα τρωε στη στιγμή
Και για να ξεδιψάσει
σερνόταν στο βουνό
έπινε δέκα λίμνες
και έναν ποταμό
Κι ερχόντουσαν ιππότες
και μπαίναν στη σπηλιά
το δράκο να σκοτώσουν
με όπλα και σπαθιά
Γι’αυτό έτσι ξαπλωμένος
πετούσε τις φωτιές
ν’ ανάψουνε τα ξύλα
και να ψηθεί ο καφές
Έστρωνε το τραπέζι
άναβε τα κεριά
κι έλεγε παραμύθια
...για δράκους και θεριά...!
