Thoughts of defeat or victory have faded into oblivion for, this is no war - it is rebirth. A butterfly shyly escaping her cocoon, wings flutter with newfound confidence, I see my beauty rise and blossom, no fear can touch my thundering heart,as without a hint of hesitation, I unleash my fire before you.The need to lick your flames invincible; even the iron gates I fiercely guarded, languished. I see your face through glowing smoke, I let your whisper surround me, your power earns her way to strike me, pierce the core of my essence and spread to every dark and light corner of my spirit. You burn your way through walls, tunnels, bridges and canyons I never knew that secret I was keeping. My virgin heart shuttered in a million pieces - shards of ice that dance before your entrance, to a rhythm that's never guided me before. I feel my tears gliding down my cheeks, I taste the salt of relief, purpose, belonging. In awe I watch my heart put back together -old but new, ancient and eternal, weak yet puissant.
