Red roses bloom, spring rushing in
In an abandoned mansion’s garden
On a small cliff near the sea
Where I often take a walk, discharging of my daily burden

There is a statue in the yard
A woman’s form, with tear-filled eyes
And if someone concentrates
He can listen to her cries

In the bottom a poem is written
But from the years is someway faint
Two verses one can only read
Eight lines that someone desperate paint…

"All the winds carry your whispers
All the rains cry your tears
All my days became tormented
Adding up to painful years”

“Air polluted of your beauty,
Your sea tempestuous in despair,
I dare not swim into your sadness
I dare not breathe more of this air…”

And every time tears fill my eyes
I seem so feeble in her presence
I try to guess what story is told
Into this last short frantic sentence

This girl will always stare the sea
And I will always stay aghast
As time will always tend to flow
Leading my days into the past

I dream of roses once in a while
Of gardens blooming near the strand
I lean to take one, I get cut
And red blood flows onto my hand…
