| | | | I tried to maintain the proper balance of rhyming and syllables as best as I could. Where it says "They said that I should change the backing", the literal translation of the Greek would be: "They told me that I should change the piece", with piece being κομμάτι. Both in the original Greek and the literal translation to piece, the meaning for the word in the context of the song is very obscure. It's hard to discern what the piece is, personally I think it means "my thinking", but that is a very strong interpretation and probably too strong to include in the translation since the original is purposefully obscure; another rhyming would could easily have been substituted. So, keep your own mind open when trying to interpret that part.
