At first
Στην αρχή ήταν σκέψη κι είπα πως πέρασε
μια στιγμή δυνατή που απλά γρήγορα έσβησε
στην αρχή ήταν χρώμα που στο μαύρο τρελάθηκε
τότε ήταν σταγόνα και στη θάλασσα χάθηκε.
Στην αρχή ήταν τύψεις που η μνήμη προσπέρασε
μια έμπνευση απλή που τραγούδια με κέρασε
τώρα πέρασαν χρόνια κι όλα γύρω μου άλλαξαν
τόσοι φάροι παλιοί στο σκοτάδι μου άναψαν.
Τώρα είναι βροχή που τα χέρια μου ξέβαψε
κι οι γαλάζιοι ουρανοί στο χαμόγελο που έμεινε
τώρα είναι σεισμός που τα όρια χώρισε
τώρα είναι λυγμός που ελπίδες με γέμισε.
Στην αρχή ήταν λόγια, δυο σειρήνες που πίστεψα
μια ζωή φυλακή, μια ζωή που την ξόδεψα
τότε είχα κρυφτεί και να φέξει περίμενα
η αλήθεια σκληρή κι όλο μέσα μου θύμωνα.
At first it was a thought I didn't take for granted
a moment strong that just faded fast
at first it was a color crazed in black
then it was a drop and got lost in the ocean.
At first it was remorse that memory erased
a simple inspiration that treated me with songs
now years have passed and all around me changed
so many old lighthouses turned on in my dark.
Now it's rain that washed away my hands
and the blue skies on the remaining smile
now it's an earthquake that tore apart the boundaries
now it's a sobbing that filled me with hope.
At first they were words, two sirens I believed in
a life confining, a life i've wasted
then i had laid hidden waiting for the dawn
the truth was tough and I kept getting angry.
