Έβγαλα τα μέσα έξω
κι αποφάσισα αχ να παίξω
το παιχνίδι του χαμένου
θησαυρού βαθιά κρυμμένου

Μου `πανε βαθιά να ψάξω
κι αν τον βρω να μην τρομάξω

να μη φοβηθώ το χάρο
Έφτασα στης γης την άκρη
δίχως μπούσουλα και χάρτη
μα η αλήθεια και το ψέμα
που πληρώνονται με αίμα
βγάλαν τη ζωή μου σκάρτη
Μα εγώ βαθιά θα σκάψω
το κορμί μου θα το κάψω
και η στάχτη που θα μείνει
θησαυρός και φως θα γίνει
I turned the inside out
and made up my mind, ach, to play
the game of the lost
treasure, deeply hidden,
to see it I could endure.
They told me to search deep down,
and if I find it I should not be afraid.
Let me just take a little light [with me]
so that I won't fear death.
I reached the end of the earth
without compass and map,
but the truth and the lie
that are paid for in blood;
they did damage to my life.
But I, I will dig deep.
My body, I will set it on fire
and the ashes that will remain,
will turn into treasure and light.
