Στου φεγγαριού τη μοναξιά
ρώτησα την ψυχή μου
μήπως και μάθω μυστικά
που γύρευα καιρό.
Ρώτησα για τους γύρω μου
να μάθω πώς με βλέπουν
κι αν οι ψυχές μας κάποτε
ταξίδευαν εδώ.
Είν`η ψυχή της μοίρας κατάδικος
μες στο κορμί ζεστό φυλαχτό
κι αν μια στιγμή αγγίξει το μάταιο
απ`τη σιωπή του χρόνου θα βγω.
Ρώτησα για τις όμορφες
που γνώρισα κοπέλες
αν κάπου αλλού θα βρίσκονταν
για να τις ξαναδώ.
Ρώτησα και για σένανε
να μάθω εκεί που μένεις
αν λίγο μες στον ύπνο σου
θα μ`άφηνες να μπω.
In the loneliness of the moon
I asked my soul
hoping to learn secrets
for which I had been searching for some time.
I asked about the people around me
to find out how they see me
and whether our souls some day
travelled here.
The soul is a prisoner of fate
a warm talisman in the body
and if for one moment it touches what is futile
I will emerge from the silence of time.
I asked about the beautiful
girls I met
if somewhere else they could be found
that I might see them again.
I asked about you as well
to find out where you live
and if in your sleep for a little
you would allow me to enter.
