Όταν με δεις και το φορώ στραβά,
βρε, το καπέλο
να ξέρεις πως επέτυχε, όπλες,
το κόλπο όπου θέλω
Τρεις μέρες βασανίζομαι
με τον Αμερικάνο
για να του στήσω μηχανή, όπλες,
το κόλπο να του κάνω
Με τα λιμά τον έμπλεξα,
στο πόκερ, στην πασέντζα
κι όλο το χτένι δούλευε, ωχ αμάν,
στη ζούλα κι η σκαλέτα
Στον άσσο τρία μου ‘λεγε
και δέκα στο πεντάρι
και πάντα τέρτσος έβγαινε, όπλες,
όπου κι αν με ποντάρει
Μα το κορόιδο μπάνισε,
τον τύλιξα στα ζάρια
εκεί του τα καθάρισα, ωχ αμάν,
όλα του τα δολάρια

the trick that I have tried
Three days I struggled
with the American guy
to play a trick on him
to squeeze his money dry
Low cards I played as bait
in poker, solitaire
false shuffling cards at will
a game -in secret- all but fair
On an ace, he dropped a three
on a five, a ten would come at me
losing whatever his card might be
whatever the bet, a win for me
The sucker fell for it,
I got him on the dice
and there I stripped him off
his dollars were my prize
