Αυτή είναι η ημέρα
όπου ήλθ’ ο Λυτρωτής
από Μαριάμ Μητέρα
εκ Παρθένου γεννηθείς.
Άναρχος αρχήν λαμβάνει
και σαρκούται ο Θεός
ο Αγέννητος γεννάται
εις τη φάτνην ταπεινός.
Άγγελοι το νέο λέγουν
εις ποιμένας και βοσκούς
ο Αστήρ το θαύμα δείχνει
εις τους μάγους και σοφούς.
Οι τρεις μάγοι ξεκινάνε
τ’ άστρο έχουν βοηθό
τη σπηλιά ψάχνουν να βρούνε
με τον άγιο Θεό.
Λίβανο χρυσό και σμύρνα
να του παν’ επιθυμούν
τη μικρή γλυκιά μορφή του
σκύβουν και την προσκυνούν.
Όσοι έχετε στα ξένα
να δεχτείτε με καλό
ευτυχία να σας δίνει
το Θεό παρακαλώ.
This is the day
The saviour came
From The Mother Mary
Born of a Virgin.
He who is without beginning, begins
And God becomes flesh
He who is without birth is born
Humbly in the stable.
Angels proclaim the news
To shepherds
The star is a sign of the miracle
To the mages and the wise.
The three mages begin their journey
With the star as their guide
Searching to find the cave
Of the Holy God.
Frankincense, gold and myrrh
they each pay tribute.
To His small sweet form
They bow and worship.
Of you who are abroad
Welcome Him warmly,
Goodwill may He bring to you
I pray to God
