[To Be In] Waiting (when I am waiting)
Όταν σε περιμένω και δεν έρχεσαι,
ο νους μου πάει στους τσαλακωμένους,
σ’ αυτούς που ώρες στέκονται σε μια ουρά,
έξω από μια πόρτα ή μπροστά σ’ έναν υπάλληλο.
Κι εκλιπαρούν με μια αίτηση στο χέρι
για μια υπογραφή, για μια ψευτοσύνταξη.
όταν σε περιμένω και δεν έρχεσαι,
γίνομαι ένα με τους τσακισμένους.
When I am waiting for you and you do not come (are not coming)
my mind drifts to (those) "creased" ones
to those that for hours (on end) stand in a queue
outside a door or, in front of a clerk
And implore with an application form in hand
for a signature, for a (ridiculously) low-pension
When I am waiting for you and you do not come (are not coming)
I become one with the "crumpled" (ones)
