So many nights in disbelief
so many thoughts of fear.
My mind screaming for relief
but my sight remains unclear.
So much darkness in our hearts
and so much love to lose.
Trying to hide the missing parts
and find an excuse.
Trying to save ourselves
from this world’s abuse.
