Οι Doors ήτανε μια φάση που μου πέρασε. Το κακομαθημένο τα τίναξε στα 28 του και εγω είμαι ήδη 42. Τι πρόλαβε να ζήσει ώστε να έρθει σε μια ανώτερη κατασταση συνείδησης? Επειδή πήγε κάποτε στην έρημο και έριχνε πυροκλάνια?
Από τότε που ανακάλυψα το LSD μπάρμπα, κατάλαβα και πόσο ψαγμένες ήτανε οι μαλακίες που έλεγε και έγραφε με ενα ύφος μυστηρίου λες και κατάφερε να ζήσει πολλά. Άνοιξε κάνα βιβλίο του Castaneda ή την ποίηση του William Blake και θα καταλάβεις πόσο Original ήταν οι ασυναρτησίες που πέταγε όταν τάχα είχε έρθει σε επαφή με το ασυνείδητό του και το ζώο-οδηγό του. Σιγά τον ψαγμένο! Ολο πόζα, ναρκισισμός και ματαιοδοξία.
Λες ρε βλάκα στα 42 μου να θέλω να μοιάσω σε αυτό το κωλοπαίδι και οσα γνώρισε μέχρι τα 28 του?
Είπαμε να ρίξουμε ταμπέλες και στερεότυπα και η λατρεία που είχα κάποτε στον Mojo έχει πεθάνει εδω και καιρό. Το ίδιο και για τον κάθε ποζερά.

Don’t get me started on Lou Reed. He would have disappeared if it had not been for John Cale, Sterling Morrison, Nico, David Bowie, Mick Ronson and Quine & Saunders. He coasted on the VU albums for his whole life while turning out the equivalent of musical Emperor’s new clothes. Smith and Reed were famous for being famous and for who they hung out with. For every good (or even fair) song either of them did, there were 15 outright turds that they laid.

I am watching that part of Rolling Thunder Revue as we speak, and it’s just amazingly awful. I had to google “patti smith sucks” as an outlet for my emotions. After seeing that performance I will no longer be able to pretend that she’s anything but a talentless pretentious poser. I intentionally limited my awareness of what a hack she is for a long time just to avoid the many tedious annoying arguments with girlfriends that I know would’ve been the result.

Thank you all! Tried reading ‘Just Kids’ and realized she’s actually just the worst. Her writing blows, I don’t give a fuck about anything in the book- despite most of the people mentioned being legends and heroes of mine. She’s a name dropper and a braggart and really just talentless.

Patti smith was a strong independent woman at a time when that was cutting edge. That does not make her music listenable. She was a nobody from New Jersey who ingratiated herself on the New York art scene. Then she dropped names. She knew somebody who knew somebody who knew somebody blah blah blah. She kind of slept her way in. She reminds me of yoko ono at her worst

After reading Mapplethorpe: A Biography, I lost almost all respect I (briefly) had for her.
Now don’t get me wrong, Robert had his own issues and was far from perfect. But at least he had a painful past and childhood, and had to deal with his homosexuality in a time where no one was Pro-Gay/homophobic etc.
The way she used him and took advantage of his drug addiction and insecurities was sick. Then you read later that when she found out he had a boyfriend (while they were living in the Chelsea together) she lashed out on him. Meanwhile she was fucking Jim Carroll the whole time (and also supplying him with heroin that he was addicted to) and a few others.
She used him for her album covers and never once went to his exhibitions, even the last one he had before he died of AIDS. But yet she still constantly talks about their time living together in the Chelsea and calls him her “soul lover” and all this crap. Patti, I don’t think you have a soul ma’am.
There’s a lot more in the biography, too much to write in this post obviously but what it comes down to is that Patti Smith is a greedy, disgusting, wretched piece of sh*t for a person and I can’t wait until she finally kicks the bucket.
Talentless, hideous, bitter, I don’t understand why so many women look up to her when she was blatantly misogynistic herself.
She was also horrible to Debbie Harry, Ari Up of The Slits, The Damned, and other musicians back at CBGB’s in the 70s. Such a joke for “feminism”.

Μακάρι να μου είχε αφήσει κάτι. Τα 6 μηδενικά εννοείται πως ήτανε τρολιά. Δεν εχει κάνει διαθήκη. Η κληρονομιά του πάει στους πιο στενούς συγγενείς,
αλλά για να κάνω αποδοχή κληρονομιάς και να δω τι άφησε πρέπει να περιμένω και κανα δυο χρονάκια λόγω γραφειοκρατίας.
Σίγουρα πάντως δεν άφησε χρέη.
Χεστηκα και για τα ακίνητα και για τις ρόδες και για τα λεφτά. Μακάρι να είχα κληρονομήσει την καλοσύνη του και χέστηκα για την
