Can't sleep again tonight,
The same dream every night...
Lost images from the depths of the mind
Appear to haunt me one more time.
A lost ship in the middle of the sea
With only survivors the captain and me.
Everything's covered by the smell of death,
A sense that takes away my breath.
Dear faces from the past return,
But I know they will never be alive again.
I tried to help them altogether,
But it didn't help- I lost them forever.
The guilt torments me every night,
And I'll always be alone for the rest of my life.
Oh God! What I would give
The adventure again to live.
