Με τον Αλλάχ πηγαίναμε
στον κήπο του παρέα
έκρυβε η γη το δάκρυ της
κι η νύχτα ήταν ωραία.
Λησμονημένοι κι άγρυπνοι
στου φεγγαριού τους κήπους
ταιριάζαμε τα λόγια μας
με της καρδιάς τους χτύπους.
Μα κάποιο βράδυ του Μαγιού
εν’ άστρο είχε κυλήσει
κι ήρθε σαν χέρι ενός παιδιού
τα μάτια να του κλείσει.
Κι άνοιξα τα δυο στήθια μου
να τα `χει προσκεφάλι
ώσπου να σβήσει τ’ όνειρο
και να ξυπνήσει πάλι.
