This Summer I've travelled to Greece on a journey
I strolled around Athens alone every morning
Each afternoon malls in Marousi were teeming
Syntagma nights filled with partying and screaming

In my posh hotel there were cute big brown scarabs
Some brave boys outside playfully chased ragged Arabs
Well, I lost my wallet while I was sunbathing
Must have been the waves that took all of my savings

My host warned me not to get too dark with sunburn
Adding that luckily my hair was light auburn
Gosh, Greeks are so lovely towards the outsiders
Once a black man was grasped by his elbows and guided

I feel so excited - all boys want to date me
I'll find a true friend here who'll never forsake me
I've picked a Greek tune rhythmic & polyphonic:
"Butsy ghourouniae que tholophony"
