I’ve build a castle in the sand while I was waiting.
It is made of sand, patience and time well wasted.
Yet I forgot to build a gate and let you in.

I’ve build a keep, in the east that clouds the market.
it is so tall, the sky is scratching on its end.
Yet there is no way to get onto the top.

I’ve build a wall, all around to keep it safe.
it is so strong that the winds change direction.
Yet fear creeps inside all the same.

I’ve build a fountain for all the wrong reasons.
it is meant to feed my need for attention.
Yet sadness is all it ever brought.

I’ve build a castle made of sand by the beach.
It is now crumbling beneath its own weight.
Yet I forgot the tide was coming early.
