Desolation Δημιουργός: k13739, Paula Sometimes certain things just happen.... Εκτύπωση από: http://www.stixoi.info "Please help me, Mother," she prays; trembling knees
on the unyielding surface, twisted back,
her face wet, buried in her wrinkled hands, she
prays. "Why, Lord? Why?" her lips quiver, her black,
long dress is torn; Questions without replies
echo; entities unseen perceive her.
Blessed Mary's sacred icon stares with eyes
solemn, almost alive, the holy water
in the pit of her palm. She nearly hears
"no!" The sun flings his wings through the rainbow
glass to embrace her; she stands distressed, nears
the faint icon, tranquil, still, in awe,
sighs, "why did it happen, Mother?" Mary
stares back, almost frowining, banishes
the brilliance, refuses an answer. She
walks out as a sob disturbs the silence.
The door creaks as she slowly opens it.
She is crying. It shrieks as she closes it. Δημοσίευση στο stixoi.info: 11-01-2009 | |
