Βελουδένια μάτια με καρφώνουν
που χορεύω πάνω στα σχοινιά
γύρω γύρω φώτα με κυκλώνουν
κι από κάτω, χέρια ανοιχτά
Βελουδένια χέρια με κρεμάνε
σαν αφίσα παραλιακής
βελουδένια χέρια που με πάνε
και με φέρνουν μεσ’ τους προβολείς
Κοίταξε με στο φως
πριν να γίνω καπνός
κοίταξε με στο φως
ρίξε μια ματιά
Κάνω κύκλους ψηλά
σε μιαν άλλη τροχιά
και πριν γίνω καπνός

Στα λαμπάκια που αναβοσβήνουν
στις ταινίες πρώτης προβολής
στα μεγάλα μάτια σου που κλείνουν
άμα ψάξεις, κάπου θα με δεις
Velvet eyes are staring at me
as I dance on the ropes
lights are surrounding me
and below, open arms
Velvet hands are hanging me
like a poster on the coastal avenue
velvet hands that take me
back and forth into the spotlights
