Τον κόσμο άφησα
μια μέρα μεθυσμένη
από αλλιώτικους ρυθμούς
ψάχνοντας τ’ Άγιο νερό
που σβήνει όλους τους καημούς
δίχως να το βρω.
Και πάλι γύρισα
κοντά σου διψασμένη
για τα δικά σου τα φιλιά
κι είχε μια γεύση η βραδιά
από ψυχή κι από καρδιά
μες τα σκοτεινά.
Ξανά μαζί πάλι στην ίδια φλόγα
σαν μαγεμένοι
δραπετεύουμε κι οι δυο
στης τρέλας μας τις νύχτες
ωραίοι και ξενύχτες
στον ίδιο πυρετό.
Ξανά μαζί
κι αλλιώς μας φαίνεται καρδιά μου
πως η ζωή μας τώρα δένεται
εσύ κι εγώ
κι ό,τι μας πόνεσε καρδιά μου
στο παρελθόν άστο να καίγεται.
Τον κόσμο άφησα
μια νύχτα μεθυσμένη
απ’αλλόκοτους χορούς
και σ’ ένα δάσος με φωτιές
ξενύχτησα με τους καιρούς
μιλώντας για το χθες.
Και τότε γύρισα
κρυφά μετανιωμένη
πριν ξημερώσει το πρωί
και ένιωσα μέσα μου βαθιά
πως όσα γύρευε η καρδιά
ήσουνα εσύ.
