Σ’ αναζητώ,
μες στο πλήθος να σε βρω,
κι αργά περπατώ,
να σ’ αγγίξω δεν μπορώ.
Σε φωνάζω δειλά,
πρόσωπα σβησμένα, θολά.
ποιος σωπαίνει, ποιος μιλά.
Θά `ρθεις, σ’ αναζητώ.
Σ’ αναζητώ,
μες στην πόλη τριγυρνώ,
σκοτάδι πυκνό,
ντύνομαι τον ουρανό.
Γύρω πόρτες κλειστές,
ίδιες όπως χθες και προχθές,
ώρες άδειες, μόνες, φριχτές,
κι όμως σ’ αναζητώ.

les visages sont fermés, troubles,

je rôde dans la ville,
l'obscurité est dense,
habillant le ciel.
Alentour les portes sont fermées,
telles que hier et avant-hier,
les heures sont vides, solitaires, horribles,
et pourtant je te cherche.
