On the steps of Santa Ágata

No wind round steep corners
The bafo smoke slings it’s belly in the floor
Walls and walls of smoke and cigarettes
Stacked themselves together

There’s an old story on the loose
Sunrise still talking
The story’s unfolded and I’ve been the sole listener

Every night there’s a story on the loose
A day without memory goes
Its a day worth missing
And if the tide is coming back
It’s only cause there’s still
So much to be heard
