ήτανε μια βρύση
με βουνά συζήταγε
σε τρελό μεθύσι.
Κι ένα βράδυ ένα παιδί
αχ! Ξεχνάει να κλείσει
τη βρυσούλα τη μικρή
που είχε πια μεθύσει.
Κι η βρυσούλα η μικρή
γέννησε τη λίμνη
το νερό γεννά νερό
μέσα σαν το κλείσει.
Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό
κάπου στη Βαρνούντα
του Θεού τα δάκρυα
φτιάξανε λιμνούλα.
Κι από τότε τα παιδιά
παίζουν και γελάνε
στ’ αλωνάκι του Θεού
όλοι τραγουδάνε.
Κι η βρυσούλα η μικρή
γέννησε τη λίμνη
το νερό γεννά νερό
μέσα σαν το κλείσει.
