μέσ᾿ στῶν κόσμων καὶ τῶν ἄστρων τὴν ἀτέρμονη πορεία,
φῶς ἀνέσπερο, χυμένο σὲ μιὰν ἔξαλλη στροφή,
τὸ Τραγούδι τὸ Μεγάλο, ποὺ ποτὲ δὲν ἔχω γράψει,
τὸ στερνό μου τὸ Τραγούδι, σὰ μιὰ δόξα ποὺ θ᾿ ἀνάψει,
τότε μόνο θὰ γραφεῖ!
