Οι ξεχασμένοι ποιητές δεν έφυγαν, φυλλορροούν
σε όλες τις συνοικίες της πρωτεύουσας
στους κήπους της Δεξαμενής και στο Βοτανικό
και στους συνοικισμούς του Πειραιά μέχρι τα κρηπιδώματα
του λιμανιού, και στα παλιά διώροφα αργοσβήνουν
Οι ποιητές της σκοτεινής παράδοσης ενέδωσαν – εις πείσμα των καιρών
καταρρακώνουν τα καινούργια σχήματα
Και ταξιδεύουν προς την αντίθετη φορά
προς τους κατάφωτους συνοριακούς σταθμούς
στα ακραία φυλάκια.
