Κλαίει το χρυσόψαρο στη γυάλα
στο ποτάμι θέλει να γυρίσει
λεύτερο να κολυμπήσει.
Τα δάκρυα του τρέχουν βρύση
ώσπου σε λίγο, στάλα - στάλα,
ξεχείλισε η γυάλα,
πλημμύρισε η μεγάλη σάλα,
η αυλή, η σκάλα
και στων δακρύων το ρυάκι.,
με το φεγγάρι για πυξίδα,
κολυμπάει το ψαράκι
με χαρά κι ελπίδα,
ώσπου αγάλι - αγάλι,
φτάνει στο ποτάμι πάλι.
