Anece, the slave
maiden with hair
of sunshine and eyes
of aqua, so fair,
enters the catacombs
which only slaves know of,
to escape the grips
of te evil lord, Krotov.

In the silence and the darkness
she hears a mere sigh.
She flees to find the sufferer
of the sorrowful cry.

In a corner soiled with smut,
she sees a sorceress with eyes
of emerald and long hair
of onyx, down on her knees.

Vera, the sorceress, gasps in pain,
hands and ankles chained, tight.
Marks of scarlet wound her wrists
as she shivers in the night.

Anece feels pity for this sight;
she grabs a large stone
and breaks the chains one by one.
"Everyone should be free," she whispers,
"to see the rising of the sun."

With gratitude, Vera says,
"A spell on you I shall now cast
to bring to you much love and luck
and protect you from Krotov at last."

The witch snaps her slender fingers
and her magic herbs appear.
An expert sorceress she is
as she recites her spell for Anece to hear.

"Spirit of love
of luck and might,
come to me now,
come show me light.

For thee I worship
with all my heart
and pray to thee
from end to start.

Thy powers give
to me and swift,
for I can offer
a gracious gift
upon this fair maiden
with soul of youth
and body virgin
who seeks just truth.

So, come Oh spirit
Come to me now
a spell to cast.
To thee I bow."

As soon as the sorceress
ends her chant,
a mystic light,
as small as an ant,
appears, so suddenly,
that Anece gasps in fear.
It then gradually expands
to the shape of a deer.

A voice is heard,
loud as thunder,
"You called upon me,
or is this blunder?"

The sorceress kneels
and bows her head.

"I called upon thee,
thy weren't mislead.
Grant this maiden
luck of the unicorn,
which was due her
the day she was born.

Allow Venus
to give her love
and protect her always
from lord Krotov.

And when she meets
her fair prince
the memory of tonight
must be erased.

But eventhough,
remember she won't,
this spell must live
forever on."

"Your wish is granted
Vera, my lamb.
Let this lord Krotov
forever be damned.

Anece, fair maiden,
your prince you'll meet
with hair of copper
and garments neat.

He shall protect thee
till the end of time.
And now sweet, Vera,
you shall be mine."

With these words spoken,
darkness reappears.
The sorceress and the spirit
both disapppear.

For a spell so powerful
granted by the deer,
gives Anece the power
to walk without fear.

She'll meet her prince,
she'll fall in love
and forever be free
from lord Krotov.
