An Über-ich – the philosophers say –
hides underneath each one's bed.
Untrue but real, every night, every day,
as love's no more tears to shed.

People around have a feeling of nothing,
pretend they just don't exist.
And you may pass through these curtains of nothing,
make some rebellion at least.

Deep in the sky, there's a river of purple,
blood of the gods flows unseen.
And, here appears a gold palace eternal,
decent immortals live in.

Teachers have taught us to stand still and in awe
and to believe silly things.
If you decide not to remain silent,
your screams come out like bee-stings.
