Δε μίλησα στα κύματα,
δεν πήρα απ’ το θυμό τους
μόνο τα κοίταξα βαθιά,
τους πήρα δύο μυστικά
και τον καημό τους.
Ζωγράφισα τα κύματα,
το μπλε τους και το γκρίζο
κι έβαλα κόκκινη καρδιά,
ανάμεσα στη σκοτεινιά
και τον λυγμό τους.
Μέσα μου άκουσα φωνές,
τη μια να λέει πως με θες όσο καμία,
την άλλη να με χαιρετά
και να μου λέει
'’ μακριά απ’ την τρικυμία `'.
Στα κύματά σου θα πνιγώ,
στην αγκαλιά σου θα σωθώ
και θα με θες όσο καμία.
Δεν άκουσα τα σύννεφα,
το παραμιλητό τους,
ούτε πως φέρνανε βροχή,
ούτε πως ψάχνανε στεριά
για τ’ όνειρό τους.
