I cry every Sunday
Ξημέρωσε η Κυριακή χτυπάνε οι καμπάνες και πάνε για την εκκλησιά με τα παιδιά οι μάνες Κι εγώ θυμάμαι τα παλιά καθώς χτυπά η καμπάνα και κλαίω κάθε Κυριακή γιατί δεν έχω μάνα Αχ μάνα! Στο ήλιο παίζουν τα παιδιά και τα πουλιά στον κήπο Κι απ’ την γιορτή της Κυριακής εγώ μονάχα λείπω Θυμάμαι το ζεστό ψωμί και τα πλυμένα ρούχα και κλαίω κάθε Κυριακή για τη μανούλα πού `χα αχ μάνα!		Day has broken on Sunday and the bells are ringing The mothers are going to church with their children And I remember the past as the bell rings And I cry every Sunday because I don't have a mother Ach, Mother! In the sun the children are playing and the birds in the garden. And from the Sunday celebration I, alone, am absent I remember the warm bread and the washed clothes And I cry every Sunday for the dear mother that I had ach, Mother!
