Two strangers
Μες τον κόσμο σε είδα
σα χαμένη ελπίδα και στάθηκα.
Κι ήταν όλα σαν ψέμα,
ξαφνικά μες το βλέμμα σου χάθηκα.
Μου μιλούσαν οι φίλοι
μα τα δυο σου τα χείλη με κράτησαν.
Δε μετρούσαν τα λόγια
γιατί εκεί τα ρολόγια σταμάτησαν.
Μπορεί ποτέ να μη σε ξαναδώ,
μπορεί απλά να έκανα ενα λάθος,
μα στην ψυχή μου έχω φυλάξει
ένα λεπτό
που κοιταζόμαστε
δυο άγνωστοι με πάθος!
Μες τον κόσμο γυρνούσες
και δειλά με κοιτούσες κατάματα.
Και δεν άντεχα άλλο
μα κρατιόμουν μη βάλω τα κλάμματα.
Όλα μοιάζαν γραμμένα
όμως κάτι για σένα δε γνώριζα.
Είχα γίνει κομμάτια
και τα δυο σου τα μάτια ξεχώριζα.
I saw you among the crowds
like a lost hope and I stood still.
Everything was like a dream,
I was suddenly lost in your gaze.
Friends were talking to me
but your two lips held me there.
Words didn't count
because the clocks stopped there.
I may never see you again,
I may have simply made a mistake,
but in my soul I have kept
one minute
where we look at each other
two strangers with passion!
You were wandering in the crowd
and you were timidly looking at me in the eyes.
And I could take it no longer
but I was holding my tears back.
Everything appeared destined
but there was something I didn't know about you.
I had shattered into pieces
and I could only make out your two eyes.
