I reconsidered
Πώς ήρθε και σε σκέφτηκα
χτες βράδυ και ονειρεύτηκα
και δίχως ρούχο βρέθηκα
στους δρόμους της βροχής;
Θαρρείς και προσευχήθηκα
για σένανε κι ευχήθηκα
να πάρεις ό,τι αρνήθηκα
και το μισό της γης.
Μου πήρες όσα ζήτησες και δε συζήτησες,
μα όλα τ’ αμφισβήτησες και όλα τα ζητάς.
Γι’ αυτό κι εγώ σε χώρισα, αναθεώρησα,
γι’ αυτό και σε τιμώρησα αλλού να τα χρωστάς.
Κρατώντας τα προσχήματα
έβαζα και στοιχήματα
πως όλα είναι πείσματα
αθώα τις στιγμής.
Μα ήταν ματαιότητα
η τόση ανευθυνότητα
ν’ αλλάζεις και ταυτότητα
κι αξία μιας τιμής.
Μου πήρες όσα ζήτησες και δε συζήτησες,
μα όλα τα αμφισβήτησες και όλα τα ζητάς.
Γι’ αυτό κι εγώ σε χώρισα, αναθεώρησα,
γι’ αυτό και σε τιμώρησα αλλού να τα χρωστάς.
How it happened and I thought of you
last night and I dreamed
that I was naked
on the roads of the rain
It was like I prayed
for you and I wished
to take whatever I lacked of
and the half of the earth
You took from me whatever you asked for and you didn't even negotiate
but you doubted everything and you want everything
That's why I divorced you, (because) I reconsidered
That's why I punished you to owe to someone else
Being in accordance with the pretexts,
I was also betting
that all these where moorings
innocent and momentary
But it was a vanity
the so much irresponsibility
to change even your identify
and the value of a price
You took from me whatever you asked for and you didn't even negotiate
