Τι να σου πω για μένα, τι με ρωτάς κι εσύ
ερμητικά κλεισμένα είν’ όλα στη ψυχή.
Μου λες να τα ποντάρω όλα όσα έχω εγώ
και εγώ άλλη μια ρισκάρω κι ας καταστραφώ.
Μη με κοιτάς μες στα μάτια
θα δεις μια αλήθεια κομμάτια,
θα δεις και ό,τι σου κρύβω
και το πολύ και το λίγο.
Μη με κοιτάς είμαι ψέμα
που μοιάζει τόσο με σένα.
Πες μου όσα θες παραμύθια
μα αγάπησε με στ’ αλήθεια.
Διψάω για πατρίδα κι όχι μια απλή στεριά
κι ας χάνω μια παρτίδα ζητάω κι άλλη μια.
Τι να σου πω για μένα και να μη φοβηθείς
τα φώτα είναι σβησμένα, δε θέλω να με δεις.
Μη με κοιτάς μες στα μάτια
θα δεις μια αλήθεια κομμάτια,
θα δεις και ό,τι σου κρύβω
και το πολύ και το λίγο.
Μη με κοιτάς είμαι ψέμα

What should I tell you about me, why do you ask me
everything in my soul is closed tight.
You tell me to gamble what I have
and once more I take the risk even thought I lose everything.
Don’t look me in the eyes
you will see a broken truth,
you will see what I hide from you
even the very little (everything).
Don’t look at me, it’s a lie
which looks alike you.
Tell me as many fairy tales as you want
but love me for real.
I’m thirsty for a homeland and not just for a simple land
even if I lose a game, I ask for another one.
What should I tell you about me and not to be scared
lights are turned down, I don’t want you to see me.
